I forgot to post this on the first day so the gif above has been sitting in my drafts while the world continues to fall apart in the first week :')
For nerd shit:
-I've hit a reading block since November. I had read four chapters of The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch and haven't picked it up since. I'm trying to read books that I've have bought but left in a pile unread, even though I usually read library books since I get motivated by having to return them before the last deadline (either because I can no longer renew a book or someone has requested it while I have borrowed it).
It's not a bad story so far and I would like to finish it, I just haven't really felt like reading it.
I Have been reading the final volume of Monster by Naoki Urasawa, but I'm also procrastinating from finishing that too. It's been good, but I have a weird invisible wall up that's preventing me from finishing it for the moment - I just got to make to to finish tbh.
Nearly finished watching Texhnolyze with only five episodes left to watch - thanks to the random person out there in youtube land who has uploaded the entire English dub of the series on there (actually, I had watched the entirety of Lucky Star on youtube too last year). It is a very weird series, but after 9 episodes the plot really picks up and now I'm invested in seeing how it all ends.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I had seen people mentioning the series while looking up Haibane Renmei and Serial Experiments Lain - I probably wouldn't have made it through the first part of the anime without the curiosity to motivate me.
I've been going through stuff I had recorded off the tv while helping Mum and had forgotten how much I use to love watching QI. I remember watching the first series way back when Stephen Fry used to host the show and I do like Sandi Toxsvig as the host for the series. I'm kind of curious if the BBC will end the series for good once they reach the Z series, since the show has been going in alphabetical order with the W series just finishing.
Not much else to report other than it's been interesting as someone who has never watched Stranger Things to see everyone go insane over the recent series, with some theorizing that there's a secret extra episode and others going 'omg its Sherlock all over again with the secret 4th series theory'. It's been fun seeing it from the sidelines on Tumblr.
Video of the day: There's a youtuber I have been following for ages who doesn't post as much as they used to, but last year MilesJaiProductions did a two-part documentary on the duo FEMM (mostly known for their song Fxxk Boys Get Money). I thought it was really interesting and I'm still kicking myself for missing out on their final shows TWICE when FEMM were performing in London QwQ
It's definitely made me want to check out the rest of their final album (I have only listened to Crystal Ball so far and I love that song)
