sal5tarI honestly kept thinking about posting on here for ages - so here we go:
-Still on my Markiplier nonsense \o/ Although the hyperfixation has started to die down after about 3 years, but I'm still working on a multi-chapter fic that I want to finish with a few other stories before I'm 'done' with writing fanfics for that fandom. But with The Edge of Sleep now on Tubi, I've finally been able to start watching it - and after two episodes I'm really enjoying it so far. Still working on some fanart with the egos and Mark's adventure stories like In Space with Markiplier and looking forward to some more future lore for the Warfbot that was revealed during a recent stream.
-Been getting into The Evil Within after watching Markiplier's gameplays of the first and second game, and am now currently delving into the Joseph/Sebastian fanfics with a few drafts for a couple of fics written up in my notebook XD
It's sad that there are lose ends that will probably never get tied up due to the game studio being closed down recently, but that's just left me thinking of all the possibilities of what could have happened to Joseph and what the hell Ruvik has been up to since the first game.
-I've surprised myself with the amount of books I've been reading since the start of the year. Probably not a lot compared to more avid readers than me, but usually I read at a painfully slow pace unless I'm having an active reading streak (like now lol). The last book I had finished was Solo Dance by Li Kotomi, which was depressing but I really liked it despite the ending being a little 'fanciful' - but still loved it overall. Right now I'm reading The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle and its been interesting so far, especially as a fan of the animated movie from my childhood (a permanent memory of it being the few VHS tapes that were at my grandparent's house that I'd watch when we visited).
-Also been reading so much manga recently thanks to my local library and buying a few on discount recently. Two particular favorites so far being: 'The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All' by Sumiko Arai and '10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40' by Mamita - with the first being a gorgeously drawn yuri with an compelling story that leaves on a little cliffhanger at the end of the first volume, and the latter reminding me so much of the manga 'Old-Fashioned Cupcake' BUT BETTER.
Lol Old-Fashioned Cupcake was so highly praised that I was disappointed when I did get round to reading it and felt that it was mainly 'meh' near the end of the story. But then again, maybe something about '10 Things I Want...' scratched an itch in my head that I've been missing in more modern yaoi stories. IDK, so much of it has felt very sanitized recently that finding something remotely interesting to me has been a bit of a treasure hunt - thank god for libraries (I know there's online scans... its just been a very long time since I've looked on there. But with xxxHolic finally updating again, maybe its something I should look into).
-Sleep Token's new album has been *Chef Kiss*. I am having a TIME listening to it and can't decide which song is my favorite. I've definitely been listening to 'Past Self' the most alongside 'Damocles'.

Really enjoyed this video about watching 30 movies in a month. Iris Lyoko had challenged herself to watch 30 Japanese movies within April and there's quite a few I want to watch myself on there. Also I think it would be fun to do a similar challenge for a month - maybe something with non-Disney/Ghibli animations or sc-fi? I'll have a think about it.
